I'm looking to gather a list of NY technology and education conferences. Do you know if there is a master list? If not, can you help me build a list? Please post your favorite New York educational/technology conferences and your reason for attending. Thanks for your help.

ASSET - usually in March
NYSCATE - Usually in November (they also have a metro conference and leadership summit)
SCOPE

IMHO: A wide variety of vendors and multi-media presenters and companies, plus PBS resources, free workshops, tri-state area best practices and plain ol NYC fun!

IMHO: Plenty of statewide networking here plus specific workshops on software being used regionally. Big Plus!

IMHO: Great networking event for the Long Island/Mid Hudson area groups - plenty of networking opportunities after the workshops too, often including talks with the keynote presenters.

2009 Technology Summit "2020 Vision Now: Creativity and Innovation" October 28, 2009 - cosponsored by Western Suffolk , Eastern Suffolk and Nassau BOCES. More information will be posted in June 2009.
IMHO: Terrific place to see work being done in classrooms. Excellent for teachers and instructional personnel.

Council for Prejudice Reduction Conference 2009, Monday, November 9, 2009 ; 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM, Staller Center & Charles Wang Center – Stony Brook University, Stony Brook, NY, 17th Annual conference - Reducing Prejudice: A Matter of Education, Contact: Ann Shirlow at 631-244-4234
IMHO: Important conference that tends to focus on populations and curriculum concentrated on social and emotional learning.

That's all I have time for for now but I'll keep adding. I'd love to hear about some others that have been attended. IMHO for those new to acronyms is "In My Humble Opinion".
