New evidence-based tutoring resource
A new resource for school systems and educators interested in research-proven tutoring programs is now available at www.proventutoring.org. The mission of the site is to provide critical information needed to allow educators to choose effective tools for tutoring to rapidly improve student learning in this critical time. All programs listed are part of the newly-formed ProvenTutoring Coalition, which consists of organizations that deliver tutoring programs proven effective in rigorous research as defined in the 2015 Every Student Succeeds Act. The Center for Research and Reform in Education at Johns Hopkins University provides the technical support to inform program selection. Included for each program are short descriptions, supporting research, and contact information. It also includes funding resources such as Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ESSER) fact sheets, timelines, FAQs, and program descriptions that can be incorporated into state and local education agency plans for American Recovery Plan Act ESSER funding.
