 ng in a head-spinning array of issues for educators, parents, and stud
 ents. The Stony Brook University Chapter of Phi Delta Kappa (PDK) will
  host a panel discussion featuring state legislators who can help us r
 ead the tea leaves for how K-12 and teacher education will take shape 
 over the next few years.  \n\n\nAssemblymember Steve Englebright (mem
 ber of the New York State Assembly Committee on Education) and Senator
  John Flanagan (chair of the New York State Senate Committee on Educat
 ion) will be the panelists. The discussion will be moderated by Ken Li
 ndblom, teacher educator at Stony Brook University and PDK Stony Brook
  Chapter President. Come prepared with questions, comments, and ideas.
   \n\nPlease join us for what will surely be a fascinating discussion
  and important opportunity for stakeholders to share their experiences
  with each other. The event will be held at the English Department's P
 oetry Center (Humanities room 2001) on Stony Brook University’s main
  campus. Light refreshments will be served.  \n\nPDK members are free
 ; non-members will be asked to donate $10 to PDK Scholarship Fund (for
