 day symposium:\n\nThe Critical Importance of the “I” in RtI:\nA Li
 teracy Perspective on Response to Intervention\n\n• David Adler, aut
 hor of the popular Cam Jansen book series as well as numerous biograph
 ies and nonfiction books, will be the Special Guest Speaker.\n\n• Dr
 . George Cavuto will be the Keynote Speaker.\n\n• Afternoon breakout
  sessions will be presented by faculty members of the Literacy Educati
 on Department and will include such topics as adolescent literacy in t
 he content areas, vocabulary, multiculturalism, emergent literacy, and
  multiliteracies.\n\n• The day will conclude with a Town Hall Discus
 sion between participants and presenters.\n\n• Book exhibits & give 
 aways begin at 8:00am.\n\n• Light breakfast and lunch will be provid
 ed.\n\n• Certificates for professional development hours will be pro
