DESCRIPTION:This workshop will facilitate teachers' application of the
  concepts presented in Debbie Diller's practical resource, Spaces & Pl
 aces. PreK-5th grade teachers will discover how to better manage a var
 iety of classroom spaces to support student learning and independence.
  They will learn how to create well-organized areas for whole group an
 d small group reading instruction, literacy work stations, teacher des
 ks, and storage areas. Please join us as we explore best practice in a
 ction through snapshots of real classrooms, anchor charts, literate en
 vironments... halls and walls that teach. Participants will learn the 
 answers to the tough questions educators ask, such as:\nR      Wh
 at do I really need in my room and what's the best way to set it up?\n
 R      How does my physical classroom impact student learning?\nR
       How can I make the most of the space I have?\nR      W
 hat are some “must haves” for kicking off the new year – must ha
 ve book list with titles to help build our learning communities?\n \n
 $125 registration fee includes a copy of Debbie Diller’s “Spaces a
 nd Places”\n \nCertificates of Attendance will be issued to all att
 endees confirming participation in 6 hours of professional development
  applicable, with your District’s approval, towards NYSED mandated 1
