  NY\n \nThe Half Hollow Hills’ Department of World Languages will h
 ost a workshop for Mandarin Chinese teachers on October 26, 2011. The 
 hours are from 9 AM – 2 PM at the Fran Greenspan Administration 
 Center. Teachers will have the opportunity to discuss curriculum and t
 echnology, share activities/projects, classroom management and to disc
 uss locally developed assessments for students in grades eight and ten
 . The full day workshop will give teachers time to work collaborativel
 y on the areas that they need to fine tune. Experts in the field will 
 be invited to facilitate the discussions and to work with teachers. Th
 e workshop is open to Mandarin Chinese teachers who are currently empl
 oyed by a district; we encourage administrator to attend if at all pos
 sible. More information will follow, but please save the date and shar
