 nity to spend a full day with distinguished Harvard professor, Richard
  Elmore, the Gregory R. Anrig Professor of Educational Leadership at H
 arvard University, and Co-Director of the Harvard Doctoral Program in 
 Education Leadership.  Don’t miss this chance to be stimulated and 
 challenged!  Of special interest to LIASCD is Dr. Elmore’s work on 
 instructional rounds, a dynamic leadership practice that he has helped
  to shape as part of his work with the Connecticut Superintendents' Ne
 twork (CSN).\n \nDuring the LIASCD 2011 Spring Conference, participan
 ts will explore how instructional rounds can be incorporated as a part
  of a district or school’s systemic improvement efforts.  Dr. Elmor
 e will help participants to learn to reflect on the regularities of sc
 hooling that everyone accepts as traditional ranging from how to group
  children, the use of time in the school day, the conventional way of 
 structuring the job of the teacher, the principal, the superintendent,
  distribution of funds, etc. Elmore will invite conference participant
 s to see how they can examine instructional practice in new ways, and 
 ask hard questions about what needs to change in order for practice to
