 Centered Initiatives, Ltd are the most commonly used rubrics for the e
 valuation of principals. Now, LCI has developed a process by which the
  rubrics can be used to provide continuous professional growth for sch
 ool leaders through a careful process of professional goal setting and
  coaching. Michael Keany has received extensive training in this metho
 d and is now a certified LCI coach. In this three- hour workshop Mr. K
 eany will outline the process and how districts can become involved.\n

 \n\n\n\nMike Keany retired after 34 years in public education. During
  that period he served as a science teacher, assistant principal, midd
 le school principal and high school principal in Manhasset. He has bee
 n a principal for a total of 21 years. Mike has taught at three metrop
 olitan area colleges. He served as President of the Nassau County Nort
 h Shore High School Principals’ Association and is an elected member
  of the National Headmasters Association. Mike was chosen as the Nassa
 u County Administrator of the Year in 1992/1993. Mike was the Director
  of the Long Island School Leadership Center, a part of the network of
  regional centers developed throughout New York State. He also served 
 on the Staff Committee for the Blue Ribbon Commission on Youth Leaders
 hip chaired by former NY Chancellor Carl Hayden. Most recently, Mike h
 as been appointed to the School Building Leader Advisory Assessment Co
 mmittee that will have responsibility for the creation of the new asse
 ssment tools for certifying school administrators in New York. Mr. Kea
 ny was selected by Nassau BOCES as one of the 14 Most Influential Peop
 le in Education on Long Island. Mike is probably best known as the co-
