 cipants will learn what it means to comprehensively“ educate for cha
 racter” and identify strategies for building a sense of community wi
 thin the classrooms and school buildings that will be sustainable.  T
 he instructors will share their collective experiences with community 
 building, explore children’s literature aligned to the core values, 
 introduce the structure of Morning and Class Meetings as a way to buil
 d  a caring classroom and school community, address the power of lang
 uage, and the steps to turn community service projects into reflective
  service learning experiences.  Character Education research and lite
 rature, resources and internet sites will also be explored.  Particip
 ants will leave with an extensive collection of hands-on materials, re
 sources, skills and strategies that can be used in their own classroom
